A season of fantastic racing for the Camping World Truck Series ended with more on Friday night. Exhilarating restarts in the last laps of the race left the door open for any driver to win. Kyle Busch proved too strong as he hung on for his fifth truck victory of the season. His performance also claimed the owner’s championship for Kyle Busch Motorsports. Harvick Grabs Phoenix Win as Tenure with RCR Nears Finish
As 13 successful years with Richard Childress Racing comes to a close for Kevin Harvick, he potentially earned one last win with the team on Sunday. It was his second straight victory in the November Phoenix event and once again on Sunday, the win came with a dramatic turn of events. Kyle Busch Domination in the Desert
Saturday afternoon at Phoenix, Kyle Busch demonstrated why he has visited victory lane 12 times in the Nationwide Series – Domination. Busch had little competition throughout the afternoon allowing him to abolish the rest of the field en route to victory. Young Erik Jones Victorious at Phoenix
A season full of first-time winners added another name to the list Friday night at Phoenix when Erik Jones drove into victory lane. Jones, 17, has been competing on a part-time basis in the Camping World Truck Series with Kyle Busch Motorsports this season. A runner-up finish at Iowa earlier in the season showed Jones’ potential and now a win marks his presence in NASCAR. Continue reading
Johnson Demonstrates Prowess with Commanding Texas Win
Jimmie Johnson produced a championship caliber performance Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway. Johnson paced the field for most of the day and if he wasn’t up front, he was more than likely in the top three. This is the type of race where Johnson shows why he’s a five-time champion.
