When trouble struck as the white flag was waving, Denny Hamlin was in the perfect position. He was out front and stayed there until NASCAR threw the yellow-flag for debris scattered across the frontstretch. This is the No.11 team’s first victory of the season and the one likely providing a Chase birth.

Just as the Duck Commander 500 looked as though it was over, a game changing late yellow-flag made for a wild final restart. Joey Logano led before the last caution, but strategy by other teams on pit road led to Logano to restarting third. Kurt Busch Overcomes Early Race Skirmish and Scores Martinsville Victory

For the first time since 2011, Kurt Busch was in victory lane Sunday afternoon when he held off Jimmie Johnson late in the race at Martinsville Speedway. After a slow start to his season in which Busch failed to finish inside the top 20 for the first four races, the No.41 team has found their comfort zone. Busch has now scored two straight top-three finishes which gives the team lots of momentum heading into the month of April. Continue reading
