AJ Allmendinger snags an emotional NASCAR Cup Series victory at the Charlotte Roval in the Bank of America ROVAL 400 on Sunday.

CONCORD, N.C. – Road course aficionado AJ Allmendinger stole some thunder from the NASCAR Cup Series Playoff drivers with a convincing victory in Sunday’s Bank of America Roval 400 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course.

Ryan Blaney snags a clutch victory at Talladega Superspeedway and advances to the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Cup Series YellaWood 500 on Sunday.

The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Alabama to race at Talladega Superspeedway. This race often brings large momentum swings in the playoffs. Teams either have extremely poor finishes costing them a chance to advance on, or they strike some luck to have great finishes. This exact playoff race each year can end a team’s championship run early.
