ARCA Herr’s Chase the Taste 200 at Winchester Preview

The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards heads to the high banks of the half-mile Winchester Speedway in Indiana. ARCA cars travel around the track in 15-16 seconds a lap, making it one of the fastest half-mile tracks in the country.

In last year’s race, ARCA veteran Frank Kimmel held off a hard-charging Austin Wayne Self to score his 79th career win and tie Iggy Katona for the all-time record. Kimmel has always been good on the Winchester track with six wins with his first coming in 1996.  The defending ARCA champ is still looking for his first win of 2014. ARCA Corrigan Oil 200 Michigan Preview

The ARCA Series presented by Menards heads to the Michigan International Speedway this weekend for their annual visit.  It is also the second straight week the series will run on a superspeedway.

Last week, Sprint Cup Series rookie Kyle Larson stole the show by dominating at Pocono.  It could be Mason Mitchell’s week at Michigan. Continue reading

The ARCA Racing Series stays in the Northeast this weekend, traveling from New Jersey Motorsports Park to Pocono Raceway.

The teams will tackle the Tricky Triangle on Saturday for the 58th time in ARCA history.

Looking at the entry list, the name that sticks out the most is Sprint Cup rookie Kyle Larson, who will drive an entry for Turner Scott Motorsports to gain extra track time for Sunday’s race. Continue reading

Hessert Grabs First ARCA Win at Talladega

Tom Hessert got a push from his teammate to propel him to the lead with three laps to go to score his first victory at Talladega.

Early in the going, it looked like Grant Enfinger picked up where he left off last week from Salem. The No. 90 car led the first 35 laps after starting from the pole.

On the first round of green-flag pit stops, there were at least 16 cars caught speeding entering or leaving pit road, including Enfinger. Continue reading
