The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series teams are preparing for the AAA 400 Drive for Autism at Dover International Speedway on Sunday, June 4th at 1 pm ET. Pre-Race coverage starts at 12:30 pm ET on FOX Sports 1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

In 400 laps, teams will race 400 miles with Stage 1 ending on lap 120, Stage 2 ending on lap 240 and lap 400 ending the last stage of the event.  Continue reading

Five Icons Selected as 2018 NASCAR Hall of Fame Class

Byron, Evernham, Hornaday, Squier, Yates Comprise Hall’s Ninth Class

NASCAR announced today the inductees who will comprise the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2018. The five-person group – the ninth since the inception of the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2010 – consists of Red Byron, Ray Evernham, Ron Hornaday Jr., Ken Squier and Robert Yates. In addition, NASCAR announced that Jim France earned the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame Voting Panel met today in a closed session at the Charlotte Convention Center to debate and vote upon the 20 nominees for the induction class of 2018 and the five nominees for the Landmark Award. Continue reading

Polls Open for NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2018 Fan Vote

Polls are now open for the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2018 Fan Vote. Fans are asked to cast votes for up to five nominees for inclusion into the Class of 2018, and can vote up to 50 times per day. The five nominees who receive the most votes will count as one of the 54 votes cast by the Voting Panel on NASCAR Hall of Fame Voting Day on May 24. Continue reading

NASCAR XFINITY Series teams are taking a well-deserved break this weekend and will return to action next Friday, July 1st for 100 laps covering 250 miles in the Subway Firecracker 250 powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway. This marks the season debut for NBC Sports Network as they begin coverage at 7 pm ET with a green flag around 7:30 pm ET. Radio coverage is available on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

Chase Outlook: The Skinny on Where the Winners Shake Out

A little down time due to the off-weekend provides the perfect setting to take a look ahead at the three drivers who have raced their way into the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase with wins – Erik Jones, Daniel Suárez and Elliott Sadler.

If the XFINITY Series Chase were to start today, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Erik Jones would be seeded in the No. 1 position. Jones is now seventh in the standings but has two wins at Bristol and Dover this season, giving him six bonus points once the Chase begins. JGR’s Sunoco Rookie candidate, Jones, has been quite impressive this season, posting five poles and a series leading eight top-fives. NASCAR Season-To-Date Loop Data also paints a more detailed picture of Jones’ success this season.
