NASCAR’s Nationwide Series drivers are ready for their next race at the world’s fastest half-mile – Bristol Motor Speedway, Friday, August 23rd. Television coverage starts at 7:30pm ET on ESPN (check your local listings) and radio coverage is on PRN, Sirius XM, channel 90.

The Nationwide Series’ points battle is narrowing to just five contenders: Sam Hornish Jr, Elliott Sadler, Regan Smith, Austin Dillon and Brian Vickers. With just 18 points separating them, all five drivers have a real shot at capturing the title. Continue reading

Bryan Ortiz, a Puerto Rico native, is with Rev Racing and part of NASCAR‘s Drive for Diversity program for the third consecutive year in 2013.

Ortiz made his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East début at Bristol Motor Speedway in March 2012 and finished the season fifth in the overall standings and second in rookie points on the strength of nine top-ten finishes across the 14-race season. Great Clips Extends Sponsor with Hendrick Motorsports

In a sport where sponsors are tougher and tougher to come by, Hendrick Motorsports (HMS) has found one that wants to expand its involvement. Great Clips will be appearing on Kasey Kahne’s No. 5 Chevrolet three times this season. The sponsor also plays a role on the Nationwide team of JR Motorsports, as well as, on the No. 5 car.

In 2014, Great Clips plans to expand its involvement with Hendrick Motorsports. Fox Sports first reported this week that Great Clips will be the primary sponsor of the No. 5 team for ten races in 2014. The report has not been confirmed by Great Clips or HMS at this time. Continue reading
