Greg Van Alst scores a big one for the underdogs at Daytona International Speedway in the ARCA Menards Series ARCA 200 on Saturday afternoon.

A name that has long been associated with short-track racing is Greg Van Alst.

With a resume that includes a championship in the CRA Super Series title in 2019, that accomplishment enabled Van Alst to participate in the Road to Daytona program before starting his ARCA Menards Series team two years later with the goal of representing short-track veterans on a larger stage.

Chad Bryant Racing Carrying the Torch Passed on from Cunningham Motorsports

Chad Bryant Racing is growing and building in a positive direction throughout their first two years as one of the top contending teams in the ARCA Menards Series. Chad Bryant and crew chief Paul Andrews are continuing on with the goals, mentality, and determination they brought to Cunnigham Motorsports while working for them up until Bryant took over the company heading into the 2018 season. 

The Cunningham Motorsports era brought the 2016 ARCA Menards Championship Chase Briscoe, who is now racing the NASCAR Xfinity Series.  With Chad Bryant Racing they are competing with two different prongs with one of their cars driven by second-year driver Joe Graf, Jr behind the wheel driving the No. 77 EAT SLEEP RACE, Ford.  The other machine is the No. 22 with drivers splitting seat time, highlighted by Ty Majeski and 16-year-old upstart Corey Heim.

Boca Raton, Florida’s Dalton Sargeant settled into his own zip code Sunday afternoon at Salem Speedway, and put a major-league whooping on the field to win the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200. Sargeant, who was himself a lap down at one point, got four fresh General Tires under caution late in the going and checked out from there to earn his second career ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards victory. In the end, Sargeant, in the No. 77 Big Tine Ford, was the only driver to complete all 200 laps. Continue reading

Phoenix Construction Returns to Daytona with Dalton Sargeant

This year’s Lucas Oil 200 from Daytona International Speedway will carry a long list of firsts for 2016 ARCA Racing Series Rookie of the Year Dalton Sargeant.  None more exciting than Phoenix Construction and Billy Ballew Motorsports’ return to the historic 2.5 mile superspeedway where they have each found victory lane before.  The race also marks the first time that 18-year old Sargeant will compete at the famed racetrack, as well as his debut with Cunningham Motorsports in the Chad Bryant led No. 77.
