Free Admission To NASCAR Hall of Fame For All Fans On Jan. 23
For the third consecutive year, the NASCAR Hall of Fame will open its doors for FREE for NASCAR Fan Appreciation Day.
On Saturday, Jan. 23, fans will have free access to the Hall for a full day of activities, including autographs and Q&A sessions with current drivers and NASCAR Hall of Famers. Fans will be admitted into the Hall on a first-come, first-served basis in lieu of needing a ticket. Continue reading →

In four of the last ten Snowball Derby events at Five Flags Speedway, the first car to the checkered flag was found with post-race inspection violations. For some fans and drivers a 40 percent rate is alarming and cause for concern. But for others the focus is on appreciating the consistency and fairness of the inspection process that rewards those towing the line within the rules as outlined for all drivers entering the event.
The Chief Inspector and Technical Director, Ricky Brooks has developed his reputation as a tough but fair to all official at Five Flags Speedway for the annual Snowball Derby event. His inspection area has become affectionately known as the ‘Room of Doom.’ Drivers say racing the Snowball Derby at the track in Pensacola, Florida is one of the most stressful experiences they face all season. For Super Late-Model drivers and fans, the first weekend of December is for Five Flags Speedway racing including the Snowflake 100 and Snowball Derby. The best Super Late-Model drivers in the country make the trek to the track in Pensacola, Florida each year in hopes of winning the most exciting, competitive and pressure-packed event of the season. And there was plenty of drama this weekend.
Last year’s Snowball Derby winner, John Hunter Nemechek was on a mission to sweep the weekend by winning both events – the Snowflake 100 and Snowball Derby. The first part of his plan fell into place when he won the Snowflake 100 on Saturday, but trouble in the late laps of the Snowball Derby ended his hopes when his car went up in flames. Two crew members had injuries, with one treated in the infield care center and the other sent to the hospital for further evaluation. Both were in good spirits according to NEMCO Motorsports. Kyle Larson took out a season of frustration on the NASCAR XFINITY Series field Saturday in the season finale, tracking down Austin Dillon in the closing laps to win the Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway by slightly less than a second.
Despite Larson’s dominance in leading 118 of 200 laps, Chris Buescher ran a clean race, finishing 11th to clinch his first XFINITY Series title. Buescher came into the race needing to finish 13th or better to guarantee himself the championship.
After winning a pair of XFINITY Series races last season, Larson, 23, had visions of qualifying for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup this year. Those hopes failed to materialize. He sits 20th in Sprint Cup points heading into Sunday’s season finale. Although managing three top-five finishes, the NASCAR Drive for Diversity alum had gone winless in 13 XFINITY starts.
