Kligerman Heads NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Standings

Two races into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, Parker Kligerman leads the standings by one point over Daniel Hemric on the strength of a third-place (Daytona) and eighth-place (Atlanta) finish. Following Hemric is John Hunter Nemechek (-3 points behind Kligerman), Timothy Peters (-6) and Tyler Young (-8).

Although Kligerman ranks first in points, Nemechek and Johnny Sauter are the only drivers who have earned berths in the Camping World Truck Series Chase, via their wins at Atlanta and Daytona, respectively.

KBM Truck Drivers Ready To Sharpen Skills In Rattler 250

Three Kyle Busch Motorsports drivers are keeping their skills sharp this off weekend by competing in the 40th annual Rattler 250 Super Late Model race at South Alabama Speedway on Sunday.

Last season’s winner Christopher Bell and NASCAR Next member William Byron will pilot KBM cars, while Cody Coughlin is with his family owned team.

NASCAR Next member Dalton Sargeant, who has four truck series starts to his credit, is also scheduled to compete.

Big Weekend For Brad Keselowski Racing

It’s a big weekend for Brad Keselowski Racing as its team sponsor hosts Saturday’s Careers for Veterans 200 presented by Cooper Standard and Brad Keselowski’s Checkered Flag Foundation. Series points leader Tyler Reddick and NASCAR Next alum Ryan Blaney will represent the team in the No. 19 and No. 29 Fords. Reddick claims two wins this season and leads second-place Matt Crafton in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points standings by 11. Blaney has made two Camping World Truck Series starts this year, finishing seventh at Dover and third at Kentucky. Continue reading

Chicagoland is ‘home’ to Venturini Motorsports, now based in Concord, NC and this weekend is a homecoming for those leading the organization.  Their drivers at Chicagoland Speedway include, Frank Kimmel, Cody Coughlin and Daniel Suarez. Together they all have one goal this weekend and that’s to bring home a victory for a Venturini hometown crowd.

The winningest driver in the ARCA Racing series, Frank Kimmel was at one time a fierce rival of Venturini Motorsports and now, he’s their lead driver and mentor for their driver development program.  What seems an unrealistic relationship has turned into a great partnership. And when asked to join with Venturini Motorsports Frank Kimmel didn’t hesitate. Continue reading

The Chicagoland Venturini Family Name is among the Most Prestigious in Racing. 

As the NASCAR XFINITY and ARCA teams head to Chicagoland Speedway this weekend, we celebrate Throwback Thursday by featuring Venturini Motorsports and their midwestern roots spanning six decades of racing success. Today, their name is one of the most recognized within the sport, but there are possibly some nuggets about this family that are not so well-known to race fans.

It’s been a unique season for Venturini Motorsports. After several seasons of fielding at least one full-time driver for the series championship, the team focused its efforts on fielding its flagship No. 25 Ansell-Menards car in a split season for ten-time ARCA Racing Series champion Frank Kimmel and Richard Childress Racing Development Driver, Brandon Jones.
