Popular Kyle Larson Win Allows Focus Toward First Sprint Cup Title

Kyle Larson celebrated his first career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory in Sunday’s Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway with a celebratory burn out from the asphalt through the grass and directly into Victory Lane.

And while the victory was sugar sweet for the Elk Grove, California native ending a 99-race winless streak for Chip Ganassi Racing, Larson now doesn’t have to worry about points or where he finishes the next two weeks at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway or Richmond (Va.) International Raceway, although knowing Larson’s ethic winning next week is just as important as winning Sunday in the Irish Hills. Continue reading

Seventeen National Series Events Move Closer to Primetime

NASCAR, along with FOX Sports and NBC Sports, today announced 2017 race start times and network coverage for the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series – based on the previously released schedule dates. Through collaborative efforts with its broadcast partners, race teams and tracks, NASCAR was able to finalize full 2017 start times for all three national series almost six months earlier than in recent seasons. DEWALT Tools Spreads Sponsorship Across Joe Gibbs Racing; Gibbs Talks Matt Kenseth Contract

Joe Gibbs Racing announced Thursday afternoon at Daytona International Speedway that DEWALT Tools will step up their commitment within the organization, with a primary focus on Matt Kenseth in 2016 and 2017.

Promoting their new DEWALT FLEXVOLT product, the company will sponsor Kenseth in Saturday’s Coke Zero 400 and for four of the 10 Chase races at Chicagoland Speedway, Dover International Speedway, Kansas Speedway and the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway respectively. Continue reading

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams are returning to the track at Talladega Superspeedway next weekend for the Fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola. Teams are preparing for 250.04 miles, 94 laps of action that will air on FOX at 1 pm ET on Saturday, October 24th.

Standings Snapshot: Crafton Gains on Jones, While Reddick Remains in the Hunt

No one has been able to pull away in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points standings this season.

Erik Jones could have put some distance between himself and second-place Matt Crafton as the defending Las Vegas race winner, but failed to do so. Crafton finished eighth at Las Vegas to cut Jones’ lead to four points after Jones placed ninth. Continue reading
