JD Motorsports Teams Roll into Bristol for New XFINITY Series Dash 4 Cash Format

NASCAR XFINITY Series teams make their first visit of the season to a short track this weekend for Saturday’s Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway. And the race will make some NASCAR history as they break away from long-time traditions. This weekend debuts a new Dash 4 Cash format with racing broken into two 50-lap heat races and the 200-lap feature. The heats will set the starting lineup for the main event.

The new Dash 4 Cash format leaves many XFINITY Series drivers with some apprehension going into the Bristol weekend. And series regular, Ross Chastain is shooting for a top-ten finish in his JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 4 Chevrolet and looks to make the best of the non-traditional format. Continue reading

John Hunter Nemecheck Wins Truck Series Great Clips 200 at Atlanta

Matt Crafton and Christopher Bell swapped the lead four times over the first 111 laps in what looked like a two-truck shootout, as Crafton battled to win his second consecutive Camping World Truck Series race at Atlanta.

But neither would find themselves in Victory Lane when the checkered flag flew.

Crafton had led 76 laps coming to the restart with 20 laps to go after the elapse of the second caution clock of the race, in what looked like a sure-thing for the dominant 2014 Camping World Truck Series champion. All that changed in a flash. Continue reading

After a two-year hiatus, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, Feb. 28. Ty Dillon, the 2013 series runner-up is expected to be the only previous winner returning for the Hyundai Construction 200 and is also the latest driver to capture a victory at the track (8/31/12). The Truck Series has not raced at Atlanta in March since 2010 when Kevin Harvick took the checkered flag from the fourth starting spot. Kyle Busch holds the Camping World Truck Series record with four wins at Atlanta Motor Speedway.  Continue reading
