Talladega is always a wild, unpredictable experience.  The track’s slogan “This is more than a race, THIS IS TALLADEGA” plays prominently in track promotional materials and is spot on.  Talladega offers an experience far beyond what most fans expect at a more typical track, both in terms of the on-track action as well as the broader character of the track itself and the die-hard fans in attendance.

Over the last three decades, just one driver has won both the ARCA Menards Series race at Daytona International Speedway and the series’ event at Talladega Superspeedway in the same season.

Thanks to Corey Heim on Saturday, the count is now two drivers.

Drew Dollar’s first win in the General Tire 200 at Talladega Superspeedway continues Venturini Motorsports dominance this season with three victories in three races.

The most exciting part of the ARCA Menards Series General Tire 200 at Talladega Superspeedway was the last two laps. In the end, it was Drew Dollar’s No. 15 Venturini Motorsports Toyota taking the checkered flag for the rookie’s first win in the series. The victory was an emotional celebration for Dollar.

The General Tire 200 at Talladega will run on Saturday, June 20, at 2 p.m. ET, and air live on FS1.

Defending ARCA Menards Series Champion Sheldon Creed to be Inducted into International Motorsports Hall of Fame ARCA Wall of Champions

Sheldon Creed, the 2018 ARCA Menards Series champion, will be inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame’s ARCA Wall of Champions on Thursday, April 25. Creed, who won four times on his way to the title, currently drives for GMS Racing’s NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series team. He has also maintained his presence in Robby Gordon’s Stadium Super Truck Series, where he won both halves of a doubleheader at Texas Motor Speedway.
