Pressure Builds as Playoff Round of 16 Concludes Sunday at Dover

As the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series travels to the Dover International Speedway for Sunday’s running of the Apache Warrior 400, several teams are feeling intense pressure to advance into the next round of the playoffs. Following the first two playoff races at Chicagoland and New Hampshire, only 12 drivers will advance to the next round following playoff race number three at Dover this Sunday, meaning four teams are in jeopardy of elimination from playoff contention. Kyle Busch Dodges Disaster to Win Playoff Race at New Hampshire

Kyle Busch didn’t need a smokescreen to win Sunday’s ISM Connect 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway – he simply had to survive one.

Driving unscathed through a cloud of smoke on the backstretch on the final lap of the second stage, Busch, the polesitter, took control of the race at the halfway point and beat Kyle Larson to the finish line by 2.641 seconds. Continue reading →

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, ISM Connect 300 at New Hampshire Preview

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series continues with the second race of their playoffs in the ISM Connect 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, September 24th at 2 pm ET. Coverage begins on NBCSN at 1:30 pm. ET with radio coverage on PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Drivers will race 317.4 miles over 300 laps with Stage 1 ending on lap 75, Stage 2 on lap 150, and the last Stage ends on the last lap 300. Continue reading →
