Jimmie Johnson Wins Tenth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race at Dover

Jimmie Johnson, welcome to the club.

With his overtime victory in Sunday’s FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover International Speedway, Johnson became the fifth driver to win ten NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at a single track, joining Richard Petty, David Pearson, Darrell Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt Sr. in sharing that distinction.

Johnson’s triumph was his series-best fourth of the season and the 74th of his career, eighth most all-time and two behind NASCAR Hall of Famer Earnhardt in seventh place. Continue reading

Kurt Busch Dominates to Win Postponed Race at Richmond, Seals Chase Berth

After being suspended for three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races earlier this season after an alleged domestic violence incident, Kurt Busch won Sunday’s postponed Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway in a dominating performance, virtually locking up a spot in this year’s Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. ARCA Great Railing 150 Preview

The ARCA Racing Series will turn left and right only once this season at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) this weekend.

It will be the seventh race held at the facility, with Justin Allgaier winning the inaugural event in 2008. The driver to beat the last three years has been Andrew Ranger, who is the three-time and defending winner of the race. Ranger had to battle current Nationwide Series driver Chase Elliott for the victory the last two seasons. The Canadian driver’s background in road-course racing has contributed to his success in ARCA, as well as in the K&N Series.
