Elliott Edges Gragson to Win at Sonoma

Collects His First K&N Pro Series West Victory

Pole sitter Chase Elliott completed a daring pass of race leader Noah Gragson with three laps remaining to claim the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Chevys Fresh Mex 200 Saturday afternoon at California’s famed Sonoma Raceway.

Elliott had saved his tires throughout much of the race before he made his race-winning win with three laps to go to overtake Gragson, who was selected to the latest NASCAR Next class earlier this year.

Gragson had led a race-high 34 laps before losing the lead to Elliott. Gragson said he learned a great deal racing against someone the caliber of Elliott, a leading NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate. Continue reading →

Eggleston, Defending K&N West Champ Scores Big Win at Orange Show Speedway

Although Todd Gilliland and Ryan Partridge have dominated the news in this NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season, last year’s series’ champion made his own headline on Saturday night at Orange Show Speedway.

Driving for Bill McAnally Racing, Eggleston took the lead from Partridge with seven laps to go, chasing down his first win of the season in the Sunrise Ford 150. With that victory, the Erie, Colorado, driver of the No. 50 NAPA Filters Toyota made it clear, he’s also a contender for another championship title. Continue reading →

Returning to Orange Show Speedway after 38 years, NASCAR K&N Pro Series West drivers will take center stage on Saturday, May 21st as teams take to the track for the first time since September 23, 1978 for the Sunrise Ford 150.

Representing Sunrise Ford Racing this weekend is the latest K&N West winner, Ryan Partridge who won at Tucson Speedway on May 7th and his teammate, Cole Rouse, who is competing for the 2016 Rookie of the Year honors. Partridge is now just four points behind series’ points leader, Todd Gilliland, while Rouse sits fourth in the point standings and six points behind last year’s series’ champion, Chris Eggleston who is third in points.  Continue reading →
