NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams are preparing for racing 501 miles over 334 laps in the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday October 9th. NBC coverage begins at noon ET with radio coverage on PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

What to Watch For: Martin Truex Jr. tries to defend his spring Charlotte victory. He has won three of the last five NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races and led the most laps in the two he didn’t win.

Joey Logano attempts to repeat as the Charlotte fall winner.

Kyle Busch has won a points race at every active NASCAR Sprint Cup Series track with only two exceptions: Pocono and Charlotte.

But that could change on Saturday night – at Charlotte, at least – If Busch’s No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota lives up to the expectations of the defending series champion. NASCAR’s third Snapchat Live Story of the 2016 season will take place around Saturday night’s Bank of America 500. Fans at Charlotte Motor Speedway can contribute content to the video stream, giving Snapchat users around the world a behind-the-scenes look at NASCAR race day.

Snapchat users can also unlock an exclusive Charlotte race week Snapchat filter by scanning the snapcode found in this tweet.

Front Row Motorsports driver Landon Cassill took over NASCAR’s Snapchat account earlier this week to unveil his Charlotte paint scheme, which features Snapchat’s ghost logo. Cassill promised free tacos to his Snapchat followers if he wins on Saturday.

Harvick Hopes to Continue Strong Run at Charlotte

Jimmie Johnson might hold the Charlotte Motor Speedway record with seven wins, but lately Kevin Harvick has been better there. In his last seven starts at the 1.5-mile track, Harvick has registered two wins, three runner-ups and no showing worse than ninth.

The No. 4 Chevrolet driver will attempt to notch another Queen City victory in Saturday’s Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway (7 pm ET on NBC) – the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Round of 12 opener. Harvick won the event in 2014, the last time it was run at night. Last year, he finished second to Joey Logano when the race was held in the day on Sunday following a Saturday night rainout.
