NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers will race 300 miles in 200 laps in the Drive for Safety 300 at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday, September 17th. This is their final race before the inaugural Chase for the XFINITY Series title begins. Television coverage begins at 2:30 pm ET on NBC, with a green flag around 3 pm ET. Custer will pilot the No. 00 with Haas Automation Sponsorship
There’s little doubt that Cole Custer is a talented NASCAR Next alumnus and a future star of NASCAR. Friday night at Chicagoland Speedway, he’ll be looking to earn a Camping World Truck Series victory to earn a place in their inaugural Chase for the championship title. Custer is now ninth in the series point standings, just outside the eighth-place cut off to qualify for the Chase.
Whether Custer makes the Chase or not, the future looks bright for this young 18-year-old driver from Ladera Ranch, CA. Earlier today Stewart Haas Racing announced that Custer will race the No. 00 in the XFINITY Series for the 2017 season. He’ll turn 19 just before the season begins next February at Daytona International Speedway. Continue reading

With one ferociously fast pit stop, Kyle Busch erased a lackluster qualifying effort and cruised to victory in Friday night’s Virginia529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway.
A master at getting on and off pit road in minimal time, Busch entered the pits in fourth place under the first caution of the race after a tap from J.J. Yeley sent Justin Marks spinning into the frontstretch grass on lap 48. Continue reading
