For Super Late-Model drivers and fans, the first weekend of December is for Five Flags Speedway racing including the Snowflake 100 and Snowball Derby. The best Super Late-Model drivers in the country make the trek to the track in Pensacola, Florida each year in hopes of winning the most exciting, competitive and pressure-packed event of the season. And there was plenty of drama this weekend.

Last year’s Snowball Derby winner, John Hunter Nemechek was on a mission to sweep the weekend by winning both events – the Snowflake 100 and Snowball Derby. The first part of his plan fell into place when he won the Snowflake 100 on Saturday, but trouble in the late laps of the Snowball Derby ended his hopes when his car went up in flames. Two crew members had injuries, with one treated in the infield care center and the other sent to the hospital for further evaluation. Both were in good spirits according to NEMCO Motorsports. Jones Makes Lone Star Statement

Erik Jones put on a dazzling performance at Texas Motor Speedway where counterpart Matt Crafton normally dominates, leading 117 of 147 laps to win last Friday’s WinStar World Casino 350. Jones’ victory marked his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win at Texas and his third checkered flag of the season. He also posted a near-perfect 149.5 driver rating. Continue reading

Standings Snapshot: Crafton Gains on Jones at New Hampshire

Matt Crafton finished runner-up in Saturday’s UNOH 175 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway to jump Tyler Reddick for the second spot in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series standings. Crafton trails standings leader Erik Jones, who finished seventh at New Hampshire, by a mere seven points. Reddick, now third, needs to erase a 19-point deficit to catch Jones in the last six races.

Jones heads to Las Vegas as the defending race winner. He enters the race riding a streak of nine consecutive top-ten finishes. Continue reading

Christopher Bell Slings to Dramatic Camping World Truck Series Win at Eldora Speedway

In one of the most anticipated races of the year, Christopher Bell scored a dramatic win in the third annual 1-800-CAR-CASH Mud Summer Classic on the famed Eldora Speedway dirt.

It was the first victory for Bell in just his third career start. Bell’s triumph marked back-to-back victories for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the No. 54 Toyota Tundra at Eldora. Continue reading
