NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams are in the spotlight for the M&M’s 200 presented by Casey’s General Store at Iowa Speedway on Friday, June 23rd at 8:30 pm ET. Coverage begins at 8 pm ET on FOX Sports 1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Teams are racing 175 miles over 200 laps with Stage 1 ending on lap 60, Stage 2 on lap 120 and the last stage ending on the last lap 200,
“Happy Father’s Day!” a crew member shouted at team owner Joe Nemechek Saturday night as track workers put together the Victory Lane stage behind them. Nemechek had already passed out a half-dozen hugs and handshakes to other members of the team he owns, NEMCO Motorsports. “Incredible,” was all Nemechek could muster in response after watching his son, John Hunter Nemechek, pass Matt Crafton late in the race and win the NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series Drivin’ for Linemen 200 at Gateway Motorsports Park. Fourth Stage Implemented for Coca-Cola 600
Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway will feature a fourth stage. Each stage will last 100 laps. Stage 1 will end on lap 100, Stage 2 on lap 200, Stage 3 on lap 300 and Stage 4 on lap 400. Continue reading →
Byron, Evernham, Hornaday, Squier, Yates Comprise Hall’s Ninth Class
NASCAR announced today the inductees who will comprise the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2018. The five-person group – the ninth since the inception of the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2010 – consists of Red Byron, Ray Evernham, Ron Hornaday Jr., Ken Squier and Robert Yates. In addition, NASCAR announced that Jim France earned the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame Voting Panel met today in a closed session at the Charlotte Convention Center to debate and vote upon the 20 nominees for the induction class of 2018 and the five nominees for the Landmark Award. Continue reading →
