Saturday afternoon at Phoenix, Kyle Busch demonstrated why he has visited victory lane 12 times in the Nationwide Series – Domination. Jimmie Johnson produced a championship caliber performance Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway. Johnson paced the field for most of the day and if he wasn’t up front, he was more than likely in the top three. This is the type of race where Johnson shows why he’s a five-time champion. Once again during Saturday afternoon’s Nationwide Series race at Texas, it was the No.22 car in victory lane. One of the most dominating seasons continues for the Penske Racing entry. This victory is the No.22 car’s twelfth on the year and Keselowski’s sixth. The owner’s championship is very much within reach for this team and this race solidified that point.
A Penske parade was up front early when Sam Hornish Jr. took the lead from Alex Bowman on lap five and then Keselowski passed Hornish Jr. one lap later. After the Penske stint up front, Joe Gibbs Racing held the top positions for mostly the mid-part of the race. Continue reading →
Earlier this month, Erik Jones, took aim, was steady, and fired the famed Winchester Rifle after becoming the victor of the 42nd Annual Winchester 400 at Winchester (Ind.) Speedway.
