Roush Fenway Racing’s NASCAR XFINITY Series lineup is full of young talent, with Darrell ‘Bubba’ Wallace Jr. competing for Sunoco Rookie of the Year Honors and second-year drivers Ryan Reed and Chris Buescher posting wins this season. Bolstering their strong lineup is veteran NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler.

Three Wins and Counting

Roush Fenway Racing is making moves in the XFINITY Series 12 races into this season. Ryan Reed with one and Chris Buescher with two, have three victories this season, the most wins for the organization since 2012 when Ricky Stenhouse Jr. with six and Carl Edwards with one, raked in seven victories.

The organization has its entire NASCAR XFINITY Series contingent on the rise with all four drivers in the top-ten point standings. Chris Buescher is the current leader, Darrell Wallace Jr ranks fifth, Elliott Sadler occupies the sixth spot and Ryan Reed mans the eighth position at this point of the season. Continue reading

2016 NASCAR Hall Of Fame Class Announced

Cook, Isaac, Labonte, Smith, Turner Comprise Hall’s Seventh Class

NASCAR announced today the inductees who will comprise the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2016. The five-person group – the seventh in NASCAR Hall of Fame history – consists of Jerry Cook, Bobby Isaac, Terry Labonte, O. Bruton Smith and Curtis Turner. In addition, NASCAR announced that Harold Brasington won the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. Next year’s Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, broadcast on NBCSN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, live from Charlotte, N.C. Continue reading

The Wild West

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend for its first stop on a three-race west coast swing – Sunday’s Kobalt 400. Following Las Vegas, the series moves on to Phoenix and concludes its Pacific trip at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California before heading back east to Martinsville. Phoenix was formerly the second race on the docket, but is now the fourth. Auto Club still occupies its traditional fifth race slot.  Continue reading

Davey Allison’s 1992 season started off with a bang. The 31-year-old driver won the season opening Daytona 500 for Robert Yates Racing. It was the start to a great season.

Along the way, he picked up wins at North Wilkesboro and Talladega in the spring and Michigan in June. No other win was more prominent than the Winston in May, featuring a last-lap duel between Allison, Dale Earnhardt and Kyle Petty. Continue reading
