Chase Elliott is a realist. He knows that, without a victory next Sunday at Phoenix, he almost surely won’t be eligible for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series title in the Nov. 18 Championship 4 race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Texas Motor Speedway hosted the AAA Texas 500 yesterday. This 500-mile race caused problems for several playoff drivers. Most of which were penalties occurring on pit road. The mile and half speedway also proved to be difficult to pass on as drivers had issues trying to move up through the field.

FORT WORTH, Tex. – This time, there was no late-race glitch to interrupt Kevin Harvick’s domination of a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.

FORT WORTH, Tex. – In a race that produced a last-lap pass for the win, a record 13 cautions and an unmitigated disaster for favorite son Christopher Bell, Cole Custer moved past Tyler Reddick on the backstretch to win Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Just about everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong for NASCAR Camping World Truck Series title contender Grant Enfinger in Friday night’s JAG Metals 350 at Texas Motor Speedway.
