Clint Elkins a Perfect Fit for Speedway Benefits

ClintElkins_bioClint Elkins, grew up as a race track brat, traveling the short track circuit with his family throughout his childhood. By the time he was 15, he was writing race promotional business plans. Then the competition bug bit Elkins and he began racing Super Late Models in his 20s.

Elkins knew his ‘end game’ is promoting racing, so he made a mental and physical notebook of the good and the bad he experienced as a racer.

He put his money where his mouth is by the time he was 30 years old by leasing his own track. Six years into his venture, Elkins proudly says his track is up over 50 percent in attendance and over 100 percent in revenue.  Continue reading

Jimmie Johnson produced a championship caliber performance Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway. Johnson paced the field for most of the day and if he wasn’t up front, he was more than likely in the top three. This is the type of race where Johnson shows why he’s a five-time champion. Keselowski Takes Checkers in Texas Nationwide Race

Once again during Saturday afternoon’s Nationwide Series race at Texas, it was the No.22 car in victory lane. One of the most dominating seasons continues for the Penske Racing entry. This victory is the No.22 car’s twelfth on the year and Keselowski’s sixth. The owner’s championship is very much within reach for this team and this race solidified that point.

A Penske parade was up front early when Sam Hornish Jr. took the lead from Alex Bowman on lap five and then Keselowski passed Hornish Jr. one lap later. After the Penske stint up front, Joe Gibbs Racing held the top positions for mostly the mid-part of the race. Continue reading

A Dillon Domination in Texas

Ty Dillon was in a race of his own Friday night at the Texas Motor Speedway. The No.3 truck absolutely crushed the field throughout the event en route to Dillon’s second victory of the season. He is doing all he can at this point in the season to chase down points leader Matt Crafton. Crafton had yet another solid performance giving him the potential of clinching the championship at Phoenix next weekend on the table. Continue reading
