Martin Truex Jr. Makes Statement in Dover Elimination Race

It was a Martin Truex Jr. blowout, a Jamie McMurray blow-up and a Jimmie Johnson…

“We blew it again.”

Truex cruised to a decisive victory in Sunday’s Citizen Soldier 400 at Dover International Speedway, a race that pared the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup field from 16 drivers to 12.

Winning for a fourth time this season, a second time at Dover and the seventh time in his career, Truex was without peer after a pit road snafu on lap 279 of 400 knocked Johnson off the lead lap and out of contention for the win. Continue reading

Suarez Dominates at Dover to Advance in XFINITY Chase

With a dominant car that opened leads of more than six seconds after the final restart on lap 152 of 200, Daniel Suárez won Sunday’s rain-delayed Drive Sober 200 at Dover International Speedway and earned a spot in the Round of 8 in the inaugural NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase.

The Mexican-born driver grabbed the top spot from eventual third-place finisher Justin Allgaier on lap 155 and quickly pulled away. Ty Dillon passed Allgaier for the runner-up spot in the closing laps but finished 5.625 seconds behind Suárez, who won for the first time at Dover and the second time this season. Continue reading

Justin Haley Wins NASCAR K&N East Championship Title at Dover

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East hit the track for one last time this season on Friday night at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Del. For the fourth straight season HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks entered the Dover 125 with an opportunity to win the K&N East championship.

With qualifying cancelled due to weather, the K&N East rulebook was the deciding factor for the starting lineup. Haley started on the pole with championship contender Kyle Benjamin starting second.

Tyler Reddick Leads Brad Keselowski Racing to 1-2 finish in Las Vegas

Tyler Reddick out-dueled Brad Keselowski Racing teammate Daniel Hemric to win Saturday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series DC Solar 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The victory was Reddick’s first of the 2016 season and marked the first time the Brad Keselowski Racing team had fashioned a one-two finish in the series. Continue reading
