Earns second K&N Pro Series West victory of the season
Dominating the day at Orange Show Speedway, Chris Eggleston led two practice sessions, and took the Coors Light pole position to start on the front row for the Sunrise Ford 150 on Saturday night. Eggleston then dominated the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race bringing his Bill McAnally Racing No. 99 to victory for the second consecutive year at the quarter-mile California track. It wasn’t easy, but Thursday was Todd Gilliland’s day at Kern County Raceway Park.
After winning the only practice of the day at the California track, the 16-year-old from Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, piloted his No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota to his eighth career 21 Means 21 Pole Award in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. In the end, it was 16-year-old Todd Gilliland who took the checkered flag in the Toyota NAPA 150 and celebrated in Victory Lane on the quarter-mile, after edging fellow NASCAR Next driver Noah Gragson by inches.
