Which drivers are hot, hotter and hottest in the NASCAR Xfinity Series as teams head into Texas Motor Speedway for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300.  

The NASCAR Xfinity Series prides itself as the series ‘where driver’s names are made’ and that is clear when you look at the top-five in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points; three of the top-five are former Xfinity Series champions, including two-time series champions Kevin Harvick (2001, 2006), Martin Truex Jr. (2004, 2005) and Brad Keselowski (2010).

Keselowski Takes Checkers in Texas Nationwide Race

Once again during Saturday afternoon’s Nationwide Series race at Texas, it was the No.22 car in victory lane. One of the most dominating seasons continues for the Penske Racing entry. This victory is the No.22 car’s twelfth on the year and Keselowski’s sixth. The owner’s championship is very much within reach for this team and this race solidified that point.

A Penske parade was up front early when Sam Hornish Jr. took the lead from Alex Bowman on lap five and then Keselowski passed Hornish Jr. one lap later. After the Penske stint up front, Joe Gibbs Racing held the top positions for mostly the mid-part of the race. Continue reading
