Kyle Weatherman made a name for himself in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards last season. Driving for Cunningham Motorsports, Weatherman competed in 15 of the 20 races on the series’ schedule and earned his first series victory at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Weatherman also recorded runner-up finishes at Salem, Iowa, Springfield, DuQuoin and Kansas en route to earning the 2015 SCOTT Rookie of the Year award and the Calypso Lemonade Short Track Challenge championship.

Weatherman changed teams during the off-season, singing with Lira Motorsports to pilot the team’s No. 58 Ford and compete for the championship. Continue reading

Three Different Countries Represented in 2016-17 Class

Two are following in the footsteps of their former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driving fathers. One is a long-time racer who competed on the reality television show “Survivor,” and later added a degree from Stanford University. Another is one of the fastest rising stock car drivers in the Midwest. There is even a pair of international phenoms.

From Charlotte to New York City, and from Quebec to Israel, the 11 drivers who were announced as the 2016-17 NASCAR Next class today are primed for a successful and impactful future in NASCAR. Denny Hamlin Clarifies Need for Rules Package Change at Sprint All-Star Race

This weekend kicks off ten ‘Days of Thunder’ at Charlotte Motor Speedway starting with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday, May 20th, then the Sprint Showdown and All-Star races on Saturday, May 21st. Days of Thunder will close with the Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, May 29th.

The defending winner of last year’s Sprint All-Star race is Denny Hamlin and he says that recent changes in the format and rules package will bring plenty of strategy into play this weekend and he’s optimistic about the quality of racing fans will see on Saturday night. Continue reading
