Brett Moffitt and Hattori Racing Proving They are More than Just the Little Team that Could

Coming into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Overton’s 225 at Chicagoland Speedway, Brett Moffitt was a two-time winner this year with Hattori Racing and locked into the playoffs, already establishing it as the best year of his career.  However, it was a stressful beginning to the week as Monday through Wednesday they spent time trying to secure sponsorship and funding so they could be on track this past Friday and not lose their playoff and championship eligibility.  Introduced with the team back in 2015, Fr8Auctions was there up to help them out with sponsorship for Chicagoland this week and during their press conference in the Media Center, they said there’s sponsorship in place for Kentucky Speedway next week. Richard Childress Racing – Return to Prominence

The buzz about Richard Childress Racing returning to prominence started three years ago when Richard Childress’s grandson Austin Dillon moved up to race full-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, bringing the famed No. 3 back to their stable. Already, Dillon has a few career highlights, winning the pole for the Daytona 500 in his first start, making the playoffs in both his second and third year and this year, winning the historic longest race of the season, the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

NASCAR Playoff Bubble about to Burst

With only eight races left until the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoffs begin, some teams are starting to feel more pressure of the playoff bubble that is about to burst.

Since NASCAR changed to a 16-team playoff format in 2013, the highest number of drivers to qualify by winning is 13 with the same number of winners in 2016. There’s been excitement and anticipation of possibly breaking that record this year with 11 different winners in 18 races so far, and although the possibility still exists, it’s becoming more doubtful. Dodge a Part of NASCAR Silly Season Questions

Prior to the beginning of last year’s season, Stewart-Haas Racing knocked the NASCAR industry on its rear end when they announced their switch from Chevrolet to Ford for the 2017 season. With the ongoing and never-ending discussions of whether and perhaps when Dodge will return to the sport – the real question becomes where would they fit in?

The answer could be a ‘mic drop’ type bombshell when and if it happens.
