Getting the jump on Kyle Larson on an overtime restart at the Monster Mile, Jimmie Johnson crossed the overtime line on the backstretch moments before a multi-car wreck brought out the 15th caution of the race and froze the field with Johnson in the lead and a frustrated Larson running second. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series teams are preparing for the AAA 400 Drive for Autism at Dover International Speedway on Sunday, June 4th at 1 pm ET. Pre-Race coverage starts at 12:30 pm ET on FOX Sports 1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

In 400 laps, teams will race 400 miles with Stage 1 ending on lap 120, Stage 2 ending on lap 240 and lap 400 ending the last stage of the event.  Continue reading →

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Bar Harbor 200 at Dover Preview

Following a week off, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will again hit the track this week at Dover International Speedway for the Bar Harbor 200 on Friday, June 2 at 5:30 pm ET with coverage available on FOX Sports 1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at 5 pm ET.

Matt Crafton is the defending Camping World Truck Series race winner at Dover, while Christopher Bell (third) and Johnny Sauter (fourth) both finished in the top-five in last season’s race. 

Drivers will race 200 miles over 200 laps on the one-mile oval with Stage 1 ending on lap 45 and Stage 2 on lap 90.  The last Stage will end on the last lap 200.  Continue reading →

Austin Dillon Advances in Chase with Peak Performance at Dover

A catastrophe at New Hampshire could have knocked Austin Dillon out of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup—if the driver of the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing had let it.

But Dillon and crew chief Slugger Labbe came to the elimination race at Dover International Speedway with a fast car and the perseverance to score Dillon’s first finish of better than 20th at The Monster Mile.

In fact, Dillon ran eighth in the Citizen Soldier 400 at Dover, the second car one lap down in a race that ended with a 202-lap green-flag run and Martin Truex Jr. with a 7.527 winning margin. But for Dillon, who had to resort to a backup car a week earlier after a wreck in practice at New Hampshire, eighth was more than good enough. Continue reading →
