Ryan Blaney snags a clutch victory at Talladega Superspeedway and advances to the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Cup Series YellaWood 500 on Sunday.

The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Alabama to race at Talladega Superspeedway. This race often brings large momentum swings in the playoffs. Teams either have extremely poor finishes costing them a chance to advance on, or they strike some luck to have great finishes. This exact playoff race each year can end a team’s championship run early.

Ryan Blaney wins at Talladega Superspeedway to advance in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs in the YellaWood 500 on Sunday afternoon.

TALLADEGA, Ala. – Ryan Blaney’s No. 12 Team Penske Ford crossed the finish line about a foot ahead of Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick to claim victory in a thrilling final ten-lap push to the YellaWood 500 checkered flag at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on Sunday.
