Keselowski Takes Checkers in Texas Nationwide Race

Once again during Saturday afternoon’s Nationwide Series race at Texas, it was the No.22 car in victory lane. One of the most dominating seasons continues for the Penske Racing entry. This victory is the No.22 car’s twelfth on the year and Keselowski’s sixth. The owner’s championship is very much within reach for this team and this race solidified that point.

A Penske parade was up front early when Sam Hornish Jr. took the lead from Alex Bowman on lap five and then Keselowski passed Hornish Jr. one lap later. After the Penske stint up front, Joe Gibbs Racing held the top positions for mostly the mid-part of the race. Continue reading

Late Race Surge Leads Keselowski to a Charlotte Victory

There is always one race in the Chase when a non-championship contender sneaks up and grabs the victory. Charlotte has become a track where this feat can easily be accomplished. Brad Keselowski was the driver to pull it off this season when he pulled into victory lane Saturday night at Charlotte. It was nowhere near a dominant performance by the defending champion. Ryan Blaney Wins Kentucky 300 for First Nationwide Series Victory

With no Sprint Cup regulars in the Kentucky 300 race, the Nationwide Series field smelled their opportunity to take home a victory. Instead a Camping World Truck Series standout, Ryan Blaney, stole the show by winning on Saturday night.

In just his second Nationwide series start of 2013, Blaney found his first career series victory after 15 career starts/ Blaney’s win marks Penske Racing‘s tenth win of the season in the No. 22 car by four different drivers, with AJ Allmendinger, Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski.collectively making up nine of those victories.  Continue reading
