With a dramatic last-lap pass – the first of the season in the NASCAR XFINITY Series – Brad Keselowski won Saturday’s Pocono Green 250 at Pocono Raceway, ending a 46-race drought for the No. 22 Team Penske Ford.
Keselowski swept the stages in the 100-lap event but couldn’t get past leader Kyle Larson until he reached the Long Pond straightaway on the final circuit. Keselowski powered off the first turn, down-shifted and blew past Larson before the cars reached the tunnel turn. Continue reading →
Justin Allgaier had the best car in Saturday’s ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Richmond International Raceway.
Kyle Larson isn’t very good at Richmond—and isn’t bashful about saying so.
Nevertheless, when two late restarts played out at the 0.75-mile short track, Larson was the race winner in overtime, and Allgaier was a disappointed second, consoled only by the $100,000 check he collected as the winner of the XFINITY Dash 4 Cash bonus as the highest finishing series regular. The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East hit the track for one last time this season on Friday night at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Del. For the fourth straight season HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks entered the Dover 125 with an opportunity to win the K&N East championship.
With qualifying cancelled due to weather, the K&N East rulebook was the deciding factor for the starting lineup. Haley started on the pole with championship contender Kyle Benjamin starting second.
