A few days after the 1979 Daytona 500, Donnie Allisonâs wife Pat called him to the phone.
âHello?â Allison said.
He didnât recognize the voice on the other end of the line, and the caller didnât identify himself, saying simply, âThey have a film that shows the wreck. Make âem show it to you.â
âWho is this?â Allison insisted.
âThey have a film that shows the wreck,â the voice repeated. âMake âem show it to you.â
