Johnny Sauter made a mad dash past Ryan Truex to the lead as the caution flew on the last lap to win last Friday’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway.

With just 12 points separating the top-four drivers before the start of the Casino Arizona 100 at Phoenix International Raceway, leader Chris Eggleston did what he needed to bring his team owner his sixth championship title by the end of the NASCAR K&N West season finale.

Finishing 11th, Eggleston put his No. 99 team in position to win his first K&N West title ending his 2015 championship bid against some tough competitors.  Continue reading

Peters Holds Off Nemechek for Truck Series Victory at Phoenix

After the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series battle changed dramatically with a wreck involving the two series leaders, Timothy Peters held off John Hunter Nemechek to win Friday night’s Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway.

Peters beat Nemechek to the checkered flag by 0.309 seconds to record his first victory at the one-mile speedway, his second of the season and the tenth of his career.

But the real drama occurred 30 laps before Peters crossed the finish line in the 150-lap event. The dominant trucks of series leader Erik Jones and two-time defending champion Matt Crafton fell out of contention, wrecking during an intense battle for the lead. Continue reading

Jones Makes Lone Star Statement

Erik Jones put on a dazzling performance at Texas Motor Speedway where counterpart Matt Crafton normally dominates, leading 117 of 147 laps to win last Friday’s WinStar World Casino 350. NASCAR K&N West Season Finale Casino Arizona 100 at Phoenix Preview

Tonight NASCAR K&N Pro Series West teams will race their last event of the 2015 season – the Casino Arizona 100 at Phoenix International Raceway – and finally decide who will wear their Championship crown. It’s been a tight contest with four drivers holding the lead spot throughout the year, including current leader, Chris Eggleston. Also leading the points this season are second-place Noah Gragson, third place, Gracin Raz and fourth-place Ryan Partridge.

Eggleston nabbed his second K&N West win at California’s Irwindale Speedway on April 11th and returned to Victory Lane on May 30th for the second time this season with a win at California’s Shasta Speedway.  Continue reading
