As Kyle Busch spun his No. 18 Toyota wildly during his celebratory burnout at Kentucky Speedway, the right rear tire exploded with an audible pop after it hit the drain below the apron.

It was an astute call by crew chief Eric Phillips that enabled Busch’s tires to survive long enough to win Saturday afternoon’s rain-delayed Alsco 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at the 1.5-mile track. Continue reading

NASCAR XFINITY Series, Hisense 4K TV 300 at Charlotte Preview

After a few weeks off, the NASCAR XFINITY Series returns to action at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Hisense 4K TV 300 at 1 pm  ET on FOX Sports 1, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio this Saturday, May 27.

Drivers will race 300 miles over 200 laps with Stage 1 ending on lap 45 and Stage 2 on lap 90.  The last Stage will end on lap 200. Continue reading

Rookie Daniel Suárez Scores Back-to-Back Fourth-Place Finishes at Kentucky Speedway

After a top-five finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ UNOH 225 on Friday night, Daniel Suárez returned to Kentucky Speedway on Saturday to compete in the Kentucky 300 with the NASCAR XFINITY Series. His fourth-place finish in the Camping World Truck Series was his fourth series’ top-five of the year and Suárez intended to bring that momentum to his next race of the weekend.
